EBI Rules
There are NO POINTS given in our matches. You can win by SUBMISSION, OPPONENT INJURY, or OPPONENT DISQUALIFICATION.

You can win by any submission that is legal. If a submission is not permitted in our rule set it is legal. (NO HEELHOOKS FOR WHITE BELTS) NO SLAMS. NO COACHES ON THE MAT. BAD SPORTSMANSHIP WILL RESULT IN DQ.

If you are stuck in a submission time will not save you, you have to get out of it or tap.

To end a match, your opponent must TAP. Either the mat or your opponent with an open hand MORE THAN ONCE. If you can not use your hands, you can verbal tap by shouting TAP, STOP, etc. ANY SCREAMS WILL COUNT AS A VERBAL TAP, AND THE REFEREE WILL STOP THE MATCH.

If there is no tap in the first 6 minutes of the match, there will be an overtime, starting ON THE BACK WITH A SEATBELT GRIP or in the armbar SPIDERWEB position. The referee will ask the more dominant competitor wether he/she wants to be first or second. (CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH WILL HAVE 3 ROUNDS OF OT)

A single submission wins the match.

If there are two submission the faster one wins.

If there are only two escapes from the position the faster one wins. (TIME WILL BE COMBINED IN CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH, IF BOTH OPPONENTS ESCAPE ALL 3 TIMES)

In the unlikely event that both submission times or escape times are identical, the position will be restarted.
